Roberts Legal is a specialised Commercial Litigation firm in the Newcastle area with a growing demand for assistance in commercial transactions, business law, insolvency and corporate restructure.

As we have a niche practice in Commercial Litigation and Building & Construction Law, we are sought out by clients needing specialist assistance locally, from Sydney and interstate.

To help meet this increasing demand, we are seeking a technically able and commercially astute Lawyer with at least 5 years PAE to join our exceptional team. You will work directly with Sam Roberts on high end and complex commercial transactions and advice as well as general commercial matters with exposure to some litigation.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in the following areas of practice:

    • Sale of Business,
    • Mergers and Acquisitions,
    • Business Structures & Trusts,
    • Company Law,
    •  Corporate Insolvency & Restructuring,
    •  Commercial and Retail Leases,
    •  Commercial Litigation, and
    •  Franchising.

     

    The successful candidate will have excellent drafting skills in relation to Commercial Agreements including Shareholders Agreements, Terms and Conditions of Trade and Business Succession Planning Agreements. You will have both direct conduct and responsibility for files and assist with the carriage of large cases.

    Estate Planning and Property Law Lawyer 3+ years PAE

    We have recognised a growing need for a Senior Lawyer to assist our clients with other areas of law including Estate Planning and Property Law. 

    Our growing client base has led us to seek expressions of interest for Estate Planning & Property Law Lawyers with at least 3+ years' experience in these areas of Law.  Ideally you will have experience in Wills and Estate Planning including Testamentary Trusts, Deceased Estates, Conveyancing and Commercial Leases.

    For the right applicant, we will consider a flexible and generous incentive based remuneration package with the aim that the candidate will essentially operate their own Estate Planning and Property Law practice but with the benefit of having access to an established client base, systems and support.

    This position would suit a more Senior Lawyer looking to establish their own practice with the opportunity to educate and assist our existing and future clients with their Estate Planning needs. 

    We are looking for someone who is spending the majority of their time practicing in the above areas of law, has the ability to conduct matters autonomously, possesses excellent client management skills and who has a passion to develop and innovate the way Estate Planning and Property Law services are delivered.
